Walking meditation, Technique No.2.

This technique involves nothing else except awareness. You don’t have to sit in the same position for a period of time, you don’t have to close your eyes, nothing special. You need to do your usual stuff, whatever you are doing during your day, but with awareness of it. With being fully in the moment you will be acting as an observer of your own life at the same time. You would observe your way of walking, eating, talking, loving, etc. Your ways of expressing Love, Gratitude, Anger. Everything that you do from the moment you wake up until the moment you go to bed. Every single ritual that you do. If you consider yourself as an advanced, you can add the question why ( why am I reacting like this) and try to answer it inside yourself. The main point of this technique is to objectively observe your behavior and to objectively revise it so you can change what you don’t like about it and create it differently.
The other thing that you would inevitable gain from this technique is that you will be literally witnessing how your thoughts are constructing your reality. As soon as you approach your daily activities with a total awareness you will be able to notice the relationship between your thoughts and your feelings being the creators of your own reality. Of course, you need that realization in order to make certain changes ahead of you. You will maybe feel attacked by your self in this process, you will maybe be judged and critiqued. I suggest accepting this positive criticism because it will come from Aware you. Unaware you is not capable of criticizing his self. Unaware you is all ego and he is a narcissist. But constructive criticism is good once in a while. It means you are aware and you are working towards a better version of yourself. You are constantly creating something, so as every other ‘machine’ you also need to be updated from time to time.
Just pick a day, when you feel like it. On that day, wake up with awareness. Try to spend your whole day being aware of yourself, no matter in what direction the day goes. I promise you, at the end of it, you will feel happier than any other day. Because on this day, you will realize that you matter. And you will never forget that once again.
